Erythema marginatum is a serpiginous, blanching, and nonindurated rash. It begins as an area of erythema that spreads with central clearing. It will blanch to pressure and the leading edges will be pinkish or salmon in color. The rash may be difficult to observe in any but lightly pigmented individuals.
